Our Story
Assura was born out of a simple observation: the Caribbean has world-class data protection legislation, but organisations in the region have very few tools designed to help them comply.
The global GRC market is filled with platforms built for Fortune 500 companies operating under GDPR or CCPA. These tools are expensive, complex, and designed for regulatory frameworks that don’t align with Caribbean law. For a mid-sized company in Trinidad, a credit union in Jamaica, or a financial services firm in Cayman, the options were limited: hire expensive consultants, build something from scratch, or rely on spreadsheets and hope for the best.
We built Assura to change that.
Assura is a purpose-built compliance management platform designed specifically for organisations operating under Caribbean and emerging-market data protection laws. Every framework, workflow, and report template in the platform reflects the actual requirements of the jurisdictions we serve — not a watered-down version of a European tool.

We believe that compliance shouldn’t be reserved for organisations with big budgets and dedicated privacy teams. Every organisation that collects personal data — whether it’s a school, a hospital, a bank, or a startup — should have access to the tools they need to protect that data properly.
